Join us for a 5K event like no other! A run in downtown Barrington with friends and family! All raising money for a great cause!
Whats better way to spend a beautiful, crisp fall Barrington morning than running along the streets of downtown Barrington?
Join us for the 3rd annual Chili Dump Run! A 5k run and fun walk (well-behaved and leashed pets welcomed) The race will begin and end at the in downtown Barrington, with the course itself winding through the streets of the down, with many interesting sites to see along the way.
2016 race proceeds will benefit Misericordia, a home with support services for people with developmental disabilities, located at 6300 N. Ridge in Chicago.
Misericordia is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation providing help for those in need since 1921.
Our good friend, Alex Bronton (18), former resident of Lake Barrington Shores and a BMS- Station graduate, is currently living at the Misericordia complex. Alex is our inspiration for this 5k fundraiser.
WHAT’S A CHILI DUMP?!?!?
Every year in the Chili Dump Run runners, volunteers and restaurants bring a pot of their favorite chili recipe and it’s all dumped together into a much larger pot to blend the flavors– the result is always some unusual but fabulous tasting chili!
If you are able to stay longer after the race – please join us and bring some of your own fav chili and/or a dish to pass for the Chili Dump & auction after
the race. It’s always a fun time – come and get to know your fellow runners and people you may not know!
